Civil Engineer – Project Manager: 

Missouri Registered Professional Engineer Project Manager.

5 years of project management experience preferred. Responsibilities include various projects primarily in the St. Louis Metro Area and adjoining Illinois areas, as well as preparing proposals, engineering reports, technical specifications, cost estimates, site investigations, and overseeing a team of designers and drafters in the preparation of site construction documents. AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is required. Must be familiar with MSD and St. Louis Metro area design and submittal requirements. Salary commensurate with experience.

Illinois Professional Engineer is a plus.

Survey Researcher – Archivist:

Clayton Engineering Company has an opening for a Researcher – Archivist who is well-organized. On the job training to be provided.
This is a permanent, part-time position with hours from 9 to 3:30, Monday through Thursday, with some flexibility.
We will train this person how to perform research for civil engineering and land surveying projects at various courthouses, cities and counties, online and in our private records. Prior experience working with survey and engineering research is a plus.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, OneNote, Word and Outlook preferred, these will be used daily. Scanning, indexing and archiving private surveys and records will be the bulk of the daily activities when research is not needed.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Will use a company car for deliveries and research.

Survey Field Technician – Instrument Operator / Rodman:

The environment changes often and so do the types of projects. Flexibility is a key personnel train. • Full time • Crews of 2-3 • Basics Rodman expectations • Technology/Instrument training on the job • GPS training on the job •

Must be able to set up tripods, measure accurately, assist with sketches, be familiar with field notes – and additionally operate the survey instrument or GPS equipment when trained. We use Trimble S-series instruments and GPS with TSC7 & TSC3 collectors. This is a physical job that includes hiking on hills, cutting brush, working on construction sites and carrying equipment. We hope that all employees will gain experience regularly, and continue to improve their skills and their position – room for growth/advancement.
