Dohack's Restaurant of South County was a popular Dohack's Restaurant of South County was a popular barbeque and fish fry restaurant, owned and operated by Joe and Catherine Dohack and their family since 1923. In 1955, a fire destroyed the original building and a new one was built on the same property several years later. Here, you can see the survey Clayton Engineering did for the new building in July of 1965, along with photos of the empty lot, the new building, and an old advertisement! Sadly, despite the love St. Louisans had for the food, the restaurant closed in 1993.
